ABSF Guides, now that the ski season is over and you have some free time on Saturdays I thought that you might be interested in helping out at a FUN event being run by Dan Loch one of our guides.
Attention Chicagoland Adaptive Recreation Volunteers!! It is with great pleasure that we announce our first annual 🌼 Boots & Blooms Barn Dance 👢fundraiser at The Legacy Ranch!
This event will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 6-9 pm at the ranch and will feature live country music, line dancing, food trucks, a mobile bar, bonfire, sensory friendly silent disco, family crafting, photo ops with our horses and a silent auction/raffle.
We anticipate 150+ attendees and would love it if you would consider volunteering with us for this event and stick around for the music and dancing.
Proceeds from this event will support Variety The Children's Charity of Illinois and our adaptive trail system in the forest at the ranch that Thrive and Legacy are building.
These trails will include a natural adaptive playground, adaptive music/sensory wall, a traverse/bouldering wall with VI adaptations, adaptive mounted archery, and outdoor adaptive exercise stations. All of which, will be accessible via horse, foot, and cycle.
Please consider volunteering and kicking up some dirt at Boots & Blooms with us. We have shifts available starting before the event, during, and after the event and would love to see new and familiar faces we've connected with over the years for the same purpose of making the outdoors and recreation more accessible and inclusive for all.
