NOTE: this trip can be done by itself, or it can be combined as the 1st part of the 3 part club midwest trip (the 2nd part being Marquette Mountain 2/20 - 2/21 and the last part being Mt. Bohemia 2/21 - 2/25).
We have turned registrations off, as all rooms now have someone in them. We do have some room in the bunk rooms, please contact the trip leader if you are interested.
This is going to be a great trip, and very family-friendly, especially for those on a budget. For those of you that have not stayed at our club lodge before (10 Bedrooms, sleeps 25+), its a great home-base for a midwest ski/ride trip. Midwestskiers.com stayed there and did a great video as well.
It's located within 45 minutes of 8 different ski resorts, including the 2 best IKON midwest resorts (Boyne Mountain across the street and Boyne Highlands about 30 min away), as well as 2 of the best midwest resorts on the INDY/INDY+ pass (Nubs and Shanty Creek, both around 30 min away, note, Nubs will only be available for those with the INDY+ pass this holiday weekend, Treetops resort is also an INDY option less than 40 min away).
We will be staying at our club lodge Fri, Sat, and Sun nights, and for those who wish to (especially if you are going on to Marquette), you can stay mon night as well.
The trip details are as follows:
- $125 for Adults, $50 for kids (13-17yrs old), $20 for kids 12 and under
- Includes 3 nights lodging (plus bonus Monday night stay if needed)
- Multiple prizes for best photo, best video, best chili, and game winners
You can bring your own food for breakfast and to make your own lunches if you want, the lodge has a large communal kitchen with 2 stoves and 2 microwaves and seating for over 20.
Across the street from the lodge in the Boyne Mountain village is also Michigan's largest indoor waterpark, Avalanche Bay.
Lift tickets are NOT included, but if you have INDY, INDY+, IKON, or Michigan White Gold passes, there are multiple places you can ski nearby as part of your passes, and for those who might be skiing or boarding for the first time, Nubs has a free beginners magic carpet and beginners chairlift (no lift ticket required).
