In addition to doing weekend, lodge, and longer trips out west, four Winds also does "meetup" day trips. These are trips that require no commitment and are a way for those that either want to meet, ski, or ride with members of the club on a local hill without commiting to a longer trip.
Our second meetup trip will be at Alpine Valley (WIS), about 1.5 hrs north of the Northwest Chicago suburbs. This is a great hill, with state of the art snowmaking, so they usually have all their trails open.
Club members can get a substantial discount (discounted to $58 for adults) on a daily lift pass by being there at a specific dedicated time and working with our trip leader.
These trips are low commitment, but its a great way to ski/ride with club members or potential members easily.
