Fox River Bike Ride
June 4, 2016
Categories: News, Past Event Summary
The crew left Elgin on a stormy morning but the rain cleared by the time we left. We rode South on the Fox River trail through South Elgin where we picked up the Stearns Road trail and rode that East to the James Pate State
Park. We circled the park on marked path sighting all kinds of birds and waterfowl. We all rode back the same way where halfway through the skies looked like rain again. We made it back to Elgin dry and went for an early
lunch at Prairie Rock. Once inside the skies opened up and let loose with a heavy down pour. The bike gods must have been looking out for use that day.
