Four Winds Utah Trip Summary

We arrived at Salt Lake City on Saturday March 26th with temperatures about 20-30 degrees higher than Chicago, so a warm start felt good.  Our airport to Zermatt resort shuttle driver was very patient with us and took us grocery shopping for more than ½ hour.  Then the resort let us to check in early with the bellhops handling all our luggage.  Everyone was very accommodating.

The 2-bedroom suites were amazing.  The living room and bedrooms were spacious.  The kitchen was a little small, but it had all the appliances a typical kitchen would have. Our "backyard" had a great view of cows, a bull, some calves, and if you were up early morning hours, about 20 mule deer walked right pass our windows, it was very entertaining.

Zermatt had three eating establishments, a spa, workout room, sauna, steam room, pool (indoor & outdoor connected by a tunnel), hot tub, yoga classes, and even a relaxation room.  With the resort providing free shuttles, we didn't need to rent a car and the on-premises bakery had amazing goodies!  Lots of perks offered by this European style resort.

Sunday March 27th, skiing at Deer Valley was quite nice with 50°+ temperatures, some challenging runs, and very good food.  That's Deer Valley’s top-notch care.

Most of us took Monday March 28th off and attended the geothermal crater for a 90°+ soak. We capped off the night by dining at Cafe Galleria in one of their "globes", an outdoor private dining shelter for up to eight people. The waiter took pictures for us, and the food was very high quality!

We headed to Park City Ski Resort on Tuesday March 29th and the weather changed a lot in a short time span.  It was foggy in the early morning, great packed conditions late morning, and raining by 2PM. Some of us headed into the town of Park City to have an excellent lunch. We also went shopping and found a sock shop with at least six walls of socks.

We finished off the trip by heading back to Chicago on Wednesday March 30th and many said the trip was a success that they would do again!  Check out the pictures. 😊
