CMSC held its annual picnic on August 29th, 2020 at the Norge Ski Jump. Attendance was free and everything provided was paid for by CMSC. It was a well-attended event considering the virus concerns. Four Winds had one of the largest group of members in attendance. Pat Clark was in charge of obtaining and cooking the food and made sure there were plenty of burgers, hot dogs, and brats for all. There were also chips and water melon as well. In addition, home-made chocolate chip cookies and brownies were provided by Sheri Butler that were happily gobbled up.
Various games were also held including water balloon toss, baggo, and several True or False games based on various questions that ultimately result in a single winner. Plenty of prizes were provided. Many attendees also received a home-made mask made by Gregg Schuring’s friend.
A DJ provided the music and as the evening progressed the ski jumping began for the viewing pleasure of all of the attendees. There were no jumpers for the large jump but plenty of newer jumpers were there showing what they had learned and were excited to showcase.
Quite a few people spent Friday night camping and many others planned to spend Saturday night there as well. A large bonfire was provided during the evening hours with plenty of conversation and good times throughout the day and evening.
Thank you to all who helped put together this wonderful event and of course a huge thank you to Pat Clark who generously volunteers his time and grilling skills at this event. He also had plenty of helpers cooking and helping to serve the food with signi5cant considerations made to social distancing.
