The Annual Ski & Snowboard Show was quite an event. After I checked in at the Will Call tent and picked up the special plastic admission wristbands as booth worker, I entered the main convention hall. It was fairly well packed with visitors although when I arrived Saturday, some were already leaving with with newly purchased skis, boots and snow wear, both used and new, found at the popular Swap the event holds. Also well-visited was the Viking Ski Store location, and of course exhibiting were numerous travel agencies, ski areas and equipment vendors.
I made it to the Four Winds booth where I relieved Candace on her (10AM-1PM) shift, while Phil W still had 3 hours more on his second 1-4 shift. Your writer (1-4) eventually went to the CMSC booth next door and snapped a shot of the seven cordial board directors on duty there.
Enjoyed my time at the booth, and meeting with skiers and snowboarders was interesting. Be sure to visit the show next year if you haven’t yet, and if you volunteer to work the booth, you get in free.
