When your PR man showed up that Sunday afternoon September 24th 2019, the CMSC picnic was well under way. He was a bit late, but there were still bratwurst, hot dogs and hamburgers available for everyone at the serving tables with bottles of mustard and ketchup. Cool pans of freshly sliced watermelons.  Plus flip-top cans of Coca Cola and Pepsi, and other brands besides.  And also random BYOBs at the club tents available for friends & visitors. Wow.

About 4 PM the young skiers began their downhill nordic skiing display.  They take this exhibition performed before us spectators quite seriously because it’s one such opportunity to get much needed training practice, even in summer, before the winter events begin in December.
