Outgoing Prez Says
Hi All,
Well the time has finally come. My tenure as President has come to a close so this will be my final President’s article. (Ok, no need to jump up and down in cheers!)
I want to personally thank my board that has dedicated so much of their time and efforts to making my role so much easier and kept the club moving forward with all of these wonderful trips and social events. I also want to wish all the best to our new board. If you have some time and wish to give back to our club I believe there is still a board position that is currently open. I also want to thank all of our members and guests who make it an enjoyable experience being at the club meetings, events, and trips and for being so supportive during my tenure.
Our ski season has come to a close with a very successful trip to Davos, Switzerland and a CMSC trip to Aspen. All involved indicated they had a wonderful time. Our board is now already looking into ideas for next season so if you have some thoughts please let your board know. The CMSC Trip Seminar is coming up next month on May 18th where we look into potential trip ideas for the upcoming season and we do have a couple openings for someone who might be interested in attending the seminar.
We also just had our end of year banquet that was well attended at Sawa's Old Warsaw Restaurant in Broadview. The weather was a bit dicey with a freak snowstorm on Sunday, April 14th but it was still well attended.
Our next general meeting will be on Tuesday, May 7th. Be sure to give a warm welcome to our new President, Phil Wegrzyn.
Social events are being discussed so keep an eye out for those. There will be a Cancer Walk on Saturday, June 8th at Maggie Daley Park with registration at 9am and the walk starting at 10am. Keep an eye out for further correspondence and updates on our website on these events as well as others.
That is about it for now. Enjoy the rest of your SnowTimes Newsletter and thank you all once again. I look forward to seeing you soon at one of our upcoming general meetings and/or social events. Take care and see you all soon.
Russ (Former Prez: Four Winds Ski, Ride & Socialize Club)
