Prez Says
Hi All,
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and here is to a 2019 filled with joy, happiness, health, and prosperity. Our holiday party was in early December and I would estimate that we had around 60 people attending. It was a great time. We had an ugly sweater contest, a white elephant gift exchange, and a 50/50 split the pot with funds going to the South Eastern Wisconsin Adaptive Ski Program (SEWASP). There was plenty of food as well. It was a great chance to catch up with new and existing friends to kick off the holiday season.
Our trips are right around the corner with the Afton Alps trip heading out just prior to New Years. Granite Peak, Cascade, the Lodge trip, CMSC trip, and Davos trips are coming on fast as well. Please make sure that you are all paid up for your trip and have your trip forms, waivers, and memberships completed as well. Those are all sure to be great trips. Details of all of these trips can be found on our website.
Our next general meeting will be on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 at 7pm at Riccardo’s Restaurant. There will not be a board meeting on Tuesday, January 15th however there will be a small group discussing details on the Davos trip that evening. Our general meeting for February will be on Tuesday, February 5th. We will be having a Wolves outing on February 2nd as well.
Coming up at our general meetings beginning in February will also be nominations for our elected board positions. Anyone interested in joining our board please let a current board member know. It is a great way to give back to the club and also help make decisions on the direction of future club events and trips.
Soon enough plans for our year end banquet will also start to come in focus as well as other social events. Keep an eye out for further correspondence and updates on our website on these events as well as others.
That is about it for now. Enjoy the rest of your SnowTimes Newsletter. Hopefully you can join on one of the upcoming trips, general meetings, and/or social events. Happy 2019 once again!
