The follow-up to the Windy City Ski Show, of course, had to be the Four Winds Meet ‘n’ Greet party at Riccardo’s Ristorante on Tuesday November 6th 2018.  The place is modern Italian style - sleek glass-paneled on the outside, and dark wood paneling, thick green carpeting, on the inside. Our dining room, one of several in Riccardo’s, was spacious and is also where this club holds its monthly meetings.

Four Wind members, their guests and others began arriving at about seven and were all enjoying the cocktail hour until about almost eight o’clock when our guest speaker, Rick Pasturczak from Alpine Accessories, began his very interesting lecture on, not surprisingly, ski accessories and how they affect our chosen sport.  Russ Butler, club president, followed with his brief yet effective speech. 

The party gained new traction with the lively evening raffle conducted by Sheri R, club membership chairlady, and wasn’t closed until all ticket numbers were called and prizes dispensed.  And that was how the recent ski show surplus favors were bestowed as prizes to a newer and hopefully more grateful clientele.

Then, at about quarter past eight Riccardo’s pizza surge started: the waitresses brought the pies straight, hot ‘n’ ready from the ovens on the premises to us, and all was well again.  The pizza, of course, was first-rate.
