Prez Says

Hi All,

Look out now but the holidays are just around the corner.  Four Winds just participated in the Windy City Ski and Snowboard Show which means ski season and the holidays are quickly approaching.

I would like to personally thank everyone who volunteered their time to help with setting up our booth (Gregg Schuring, Patrick Clark, and Sheri Butler), volunteering their time to work the booth and welcome those who were looking for information on our club (Diane Butler, Dave Breyer, Pat Mitchell, Syed Abbas, Sheri Butler, Kathy Mitchell, Jack Gilroy, Jackie Uznanski, Tony Zasadney, Caroline Knoff, Phil Skultety, Ben Wegrzyn, Phil Wegryzn, Rich Fuller, and Gregg Schuring), and also to those who helped with taking our booth down (Pat Mitchell, Sheri Butler, Gregg Schuring, and Diane Butler).  Our booth would not have been the success that it was without all of your help!  Thank you so much!

Coming up on November 18th we will be heading to Draft Picks to watch your favorite teams around 11:30am.  We will still be having our general meeting on Tuesday, December 4th as usual. Our holiday party is also coming into focus as well and will be held on Friday, December 7th.   We'll be attending the annual Wheels Rallye Christmas Lights Tour on Saturday December 8th which helps supports Toys For Tots operated by the United States Marine Reserves. See our website for more information in regards to all these upcoming events.

Our trips are showing quite a bit of interest with trips to Afton Alps, Granite Peak, Cascade, the Lodge, and Davos.  We certainly hope that you decide to sign up for one or more of these trips.  Details of these trips can be found on our website.

Our lodge work weekend was held on October 12th to 15th with a great deal of work being completed including installing several new windows and doors, water proofing the outside stairs, installing plastic on those windows requiring some extra winterization, trimming trees, replacing batteries, and cleaning out some old items to mention just a few things.  Many thanks to Pat Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell, Dave Breyer, Tim Suwinski, and Greg Fosler for volunteering their extended weekend and energy.  The lodge is all set now for our upcoming winter season.

We are also planning an outing to see the Wolves on Saturday, February 2nd.  If you have interest in this event please contact Kathy Mitchell as we have only a limited number of tickets and this often sells out quickly.

Keep an eye out for further correspondence and updates on our website on these events as well as other upcoming events.

That is about it for now.  Enjoy the rest of your SnowTimes Newsletter.  Hopefully you can join us on one or more of the upcoming social events, trips, and/or at one of our upcoming general meetings.
