The meeting time: 6:30 PM. The date: Monday August 28th 2017. The place: Busse Woods, the club’s default favorite playground, near Woodfield. For that day, unfortunately, erecting a volleyball net was nixed by rainy weather.  

But the brave group who showed up despite the drizzle and fog found picnic tables in our usual Chicago Park District pavilion, out of the rain, and enjoyed the snacks, the salads, the grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, buns and cooler-stored beverages. They recalled old ski trips and old members. Anyway, the turnout was nineteen, good enough considering the rain.
