It was a cool yet calm and clear night outside Allstate Arena in Rosemont IL, Saturday, February 3rd, 2018, but inside, fans were treated to another energetic AHL hockey game which was heating up the rink inside. The Chicago Wolves and the Rockford Ice Hogs slapped sticks, shot puck, and at times traded well-padded swings with vigor. Our game this year was lively enough and ended with a respectable score for the home team. Wolves beat Ice Hogs 7-4, and the game was attended by 15 Four Winders and guests.
Watching the action were Kathy M, Pat M, Russ, Sheri and Natalie B; Diane B, Dave W, Katy R. Also enjoying the action were Candace S, with Adam S. and Kristen D with Gary R, and two young girlfriends of Candace who relocated elsewhere in the vast arena confines, leaving behind only their Wolf jackets as proof that surely once they were one of us; and this writer/snapshooter Tony Z.
As our group left the arena, we agreed that the game itself was exciting, and as an event it serves as yet another reason to check out the Four Winds Ski Club. Be ready and steady to mark your calendars for another hockey outing next year. Thanks, Kathy.
