I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather. July is upon us. The heart of summer. Our Monday night volleyball has started and we had our annual volleyball kick off picnic to start off the season. Volleyball will continue every Monday night through the end of August except of course for the 4th of July week. We will have a season ending cookout on Monday, August 28th which will wrap up our volleyball season.

We had a movie night recently where we saw the movie “Sing”. It was a wonderful night for a movie and something we plan on doing again one day soon. We will be going to Wheeling Fest for fireworks and to see the band 7th Heaven on Saturday July 1st. For those who have never seen 7th Heaven they are a wonderful band worth following and are known for doing 30 songs in 30 minutes, always a highlight. Also in July we will be having our annual concert and ice cream social in Park Ridge on Friday July 21st. Keep an eye out for any updates on any upcoming summer activities. You should see them on the website as well as via an email link.

Even though it is the heart of summer we are finalizing our winter trips. We have some lodge trips planned as well as a trip to Indianhead and Granite Peak and also to Copper Mountain. Other ideas are also being suggested however these seem to be the trips that we are settling on at this point.

Also, a final reminder that we will not be having a general meeting in July since it will be during the busy 4th of July week. We will pick up again after skipping the monthly July meeting on Thursday, August 3rd.

We have also come up with a new Four Winds shirt design. Anyone interested in obtaining a new Four Winds shirt please contact Candace for details. I believe she plans on placing an order after the August general meeting.
