Norge Ski Club's 112th Annual International Ski Jump Tournament was a huge success after waiting an additional month to have the tournament due to the unexpected warmer winter we've been experiencing this year. There were fewer skiers jumping, but it didn’t lessen the excitement any. A postponement and windy conditions meant fewer competitors for Sunday’s main event. It did not, however mean a smaller crowd.
A total of 12 competitors jumped in four ski jumping classes. Last year those four classes combined for 53 competitors. Because of the postponement from the original Jan. 21 to 22 dates, no international competitors jumped Sunday February 12th. Skiers from Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota participated. Those who did compete had a better chance to reach the podium, including three Norge members.
Congratulations to all the 2017 competitors!
