Chicago Wolves Outing
(Author Russ Butler)
On Saturday, February 4th, 2017 the Chicago Wolves played the Rockford IceHogs. The Chicago Wolves are the minor league hockey team to the St. Louis Blues while the Rockford IceHogs are the minor league affiliate to the Chicago Blackhawks. It was a tough choice for the Chicago fans as to who to root for, the local minor league team or the minor league team that was associated with the local NHL professional team. Most of us just wanted a good game and that is exactly what we received.
The final score was Chicago Wolves 3 and the Rockford IceHogs 2 in overtime. What a great game and as many would say the best part was that it was dog night so there was a lot of time to check out dogs for adoption or to just get some fun time with them. By the way, all the dogs were adopted.
We sold out all of our tickets that we had available and had a great time at what has become an annual outing enjoyed by many. Thank you once again to Kathy Mitchell for helping put this together and here are a couple of photos below for your enjoyment.
