Club News & Tidbits
- Rick from Alpine Accessories (Lake in the Hills) gave a presentation at our last monthly meeting on the evolution of ski boots, and what to look for in your next pair of boots. He is also offering club members in good standing (this weekend only, Oct 4-6) a 20% discount at his store (club members normally get a 10% discount at any time). Go check them out this weekend.
- Our club booth at the Windy City Ski & Snowboard show was a big success. Thank you to all the club members that worked our booth for us. We met hundreds of local skiers and boarders, had 115 people register for our e-mailing list, and got 7 new memberships (mostly family memberships). Welcome new members !!!
- If you missed taking advantage of our inaugural "Free Members' Appreciation Summer Lodge Weekends" this year, don't worry, as our Chicago baseball teams can attest to, there is always next year. Quick wrapup with photos here.
- As summer comes to a close (and we get closer to another great ski/ride season), we have wrap-ups/photos on a few of our summer events, including our monthly volleyball at Busse Woods (here and here), and our club's first (but definitely not last) Tube-a-Palooza river float.
