Norge Ski Club’s International Winter Tournament 2020 was held January 25 and 26, 2020
Four Winds Ski and Rid Club had 8 members ventured out to Norge Ski Jump in Fox River Grove IL. on Saturday January 25th to experience a day of winter competition. CMSC sponsored the event and made it easy for all Chicago Metropolitan Ski Clubs to attend by purchasing a $5 entry button at the gate. Normal entrance fee for buttons are $15 at the gate.
The day started out to be good weather for a fun day watching ski jumpers from around the world at all ages compete. Unfortunately the weather started to warm and made conditions hard to compete. Fog was showing on the highest jump which made it very dangerous for jumpers to view their landings. The snow became slushy too, so the days competition was postponed till Sunday.
If you haven't ever been to Norge Ski Jump and Competitions you are missing a super great time, a really cool place to watch Olympic Athletes pursuing their dreams. You'll never experience anything greater right here in our back yard. Come out with Four Winds someday at either the autumn, winter competitions or meet us at CMSC annual summer picnic this year Saturday August 29th. It's a free fun picnic hosted by CMSC for everyone to enjoy with friends.
