Four Winds Holiday Party
Hello fellow Four Winders
This year’s holiday party was a huge success. Taking place at Church Street Brewery in Itasca, hard to find but worth it. We had 60 of us show up with big appetites ready for a celebration of food, friends, & good Beer. The main course consisted of 30 lbs. of Pressure cooked Ham, 10 lbs. of Mostaccioli served with or without large succulent Italian Sausage topped with red sauce. Thank you to everyone that brought a dish to share. We had mashed potatoes, salads & lots of desert, cupcakes were popular this year.
For entertainment we had an Ugly Sweater contest with audience applause choosing the winner. The ever popular White Elephant gift Exchange. With Sheri taking the helm & orchestrating the opening, stealing & laughter that goes along with this event. Some memorable gifts this year where, a half drunk bottle of alcohol, a ring bearer that was very erect & Brassiere Pong.
We also did a split the pot with the proceeds going to South Eastern Wisconsin Adaptive Ski Program (SEWASP). Thanks to Mary for donating her winnings to the charity. For those that contributed $10.00 as your food offering your monies went to this as well. Four Winds presented $200.00 dollars to John Benway (SEWASP) Representative at the C.M.S.C. General meeting. We chose this charity because C.M.S.C. was matching donations made by clubs. Big thanks to all for your donations & especially Ben for running the 50/50 you were a big help.
We had a special guest of Gregg’s, Sue Berna who has a gift store Ladybug Lane in West Dundee 518 W Main Street. Sue brought some merchandise from her store to sell for last minute gifts. I was able to get a great Christmas ornament, Sue also had many cute ski ornaments.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
See you on the slopes, and THINK SNOW!!
