On Saturday, October 7th, a group of 20 from Four Winds went to see the Chicago Blackhawks host the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was a very exciting game if you are a Blackhawks fan as the Blackhawks scored early and often. There was little doubt about the eventual outcome of the game as the Blackhawks won easily 5 to 1. Most of our group had either never been to a Blackhawks game or had not been to one in years. It was a great time and a huge thank you goes out to Sheri for putting together the outing.
The pregame is just exciting as the game itself. Plenty of highlights of prior players and games are shown on the ice and of course, Jim Cornelison performs his rendition of the National Anthem as the audience cheers. If you ever go to a Blackhawks game you certainly do not want to miss the pregame ceremonies.
It was a great time with a lot of Four Winds friends. It was the Blackhawks second game of the year and an easy win for them. Hopefully, we will get a chance to catch another Blackhawks game one of these days soon. I have provided a few pictures from the game for your viewing pleasure.
