The Park Ridge Concert and Ice Cream Social was held on Friday, July 21st.  It was a warm evening with the threat of rain so the turnout for the concert was a bit less than usual.  There were about a dozen from the club that attended.  The orchestra played songs from Rocky, West Side Story, Pink Panther and many other show tunes.  Unfortunately, it started to rain which prevented them from playing their entire song list for the evening.  Once it starts to rain or even drizzle they want to get their instruments out of the bad weather as quickly as possible.  
The concert was supposed to last about an hour and probably ended up being about 30 minutes in length.

Upon completion of the concert, we all went over to Marcia and Tony’s who live nearby and they provided several flavors of ice cream with plenty of fixings.  We all enjoyed ice cream, plenty of wonderful conversation, and we also sang plenty of songs from our youth.  It was a wonderful evening and we all wish to thank our wonderful hosts, Marcia and Tony.
