This year’s Picnic turned out to be picture perfect, upper 70’s with some cloud cover!!

We had 22 clubs participate, with 175 people in attendance.

We started with a D.J. The Layer Brothers Tim & Brian arriving early & playing music for the occasion. The music provided a very positive & resonating atmosphere for the day’s events.

This Year we had an unexpected bonus. An Antique Car Show. One of the Norge members who has a house on the property invited his friends over for a pig roast. His friends are car guys & did they have nice cars on display, a 1954 Corvette, 1939 Ford to name a few, about 25 in all.

The grills were fired up & a team of experts (Ron, Steve, Patrick & Kathleen from The Four Winds Ski Club. & ED from The Duland Ski Club) attended to the food. GREAT JOB. I THANK YOU & THE MANY APPETITES IN ATTENDANCE THANK YOU!!

Kirby & his wife Jeanne from the Kirby Ski Club helped with the games. The kids participated in a Hula Hoop spin off, balloon toss, & some relay races with big smiles and prizes. It was tough pulling people from their food comas but once they were in it, they wanted to win it. The adults participated in a True & False game, followed by Club Feud & a Water Balloon Toss.

A heated Volley Ball game was played till dusk.

The Norge jumpers put on a spectacular show as usual!! Norge has mostly young flyers, 5 to 13 being the norm & 38 being legendary. They flew from the 25, 40 & the 70 Meter jumps & made it look easy.

The music played into the night. We than headed for the Campfire to share our most memorable slop side stories A fabulous time was had by all!!
