Co-President's February Letter

Co-Prez Says

Welcome to February!

Hard to believe but the ski season is almost at the half way point.  This winter so far seems a lot more like spring or fall than winter.  Crazy weather for sure.

Four Winds has been busy with plenty of trips and I just recently returned from the January Lodge trip.  I’ve put together a brief article for your reading pleasure regarding this trip.  Ok, I may be biased but I thought Sheri Butler put together a great trip with plenty to eat and to keep everyone busy.  Her goal is for those on the trip to have fun and I am certain that she achieved that goal.

So many trips, so little time.  I know some have recently returned from an awesome Caribbean Cruise and others may have been at the Adventure and Travel show or other Blackhawk road rallies.  Our members are always keeping busy that is for sure.  I hope you are all taking advantage of the many trips being offered!  There are a lot more trips being offered for February and March so be sure to check them out and sign up and join in the fun!

Here are the upcoming trips for February and March for those who need a reminder.  A lodge drive up trip will be the weekend of February 10th to 12th, and the Indianhead / Powderhorn trip will be on February 24th to 26th.  The Cascade trip which includes staying at a nearby waterpark will be the weekend of March 3rd to March 5th and of course the CMSC Winter Carnival is the weekend of March 10th to March 12th.

Our club board has also been busy working on new bylaws for the club and the lodge and it looks like this process is coming to an end.  The club bylaws have been approved by the board and soon it will be up to the general membership to vote on these bylaws and if approved they will become the new bylaws for the club.  Just catching those not on the board up on some things with this.

Coming up soon will be a comedy club outing, a Wolves outing, and a wine tasting party.  There are certainly a lot of events and trips for sure and plenty of events coming up.  Events such as Blackhawk Rally Parties and bar and restaurant of the month outings are constantly being planned so be sure to keep an eye out for any emails and check the website often to keep up on the latest and greatest happening with Four Winds.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming Four Winds trip, social event, or meeting in the near future!
